Round Ornaments

Circle Ornaments are actually the easiest ornaments to finish.  The backing is wrapped around an acid-free matboard base and then the front canvas is padded slightly and sewn to the backing.  The edge can be trimmed with twisted cording, ruched ribbon, or a beautiful beaded edging.

The tagged ornaments were a couple of the several I had donated finishing for over the years for the American Needlepoint Guild auction.

This little ornament stands out in my mind because the lady had several of these older stitched small pieces that she had never done anything with.  I finished them as little ornaments and she was so pleased.

Sometimes ornaments just need a little ribbon for bows.

This trio has a beaded edge, gathered ribbon edge, and twisted cording edge.
